The Encore

Our drinks list differs slightly in each branch – contact the one you’re visiting for the current menu.

The Porky’s cocktail list was specially designed for us and includes some pretty special combinations, if we do say so ourselves. Try our smoky twist on the classic Bloody Mary, sip on a sharp but deliciously sweet Cowboys and Cobblers or treat yourself to a fruity Jam Julep, which comes complete with a Bourbon biscuit to go with the bourbon in the glass. Cocktails start at £7.50, and we have plenty of non-alcoholic options to offer those who like their drinks less intoxicating but just as flavoursome.

Bourbon has been the drink of the American South for hundreds of years now, and our bars are stocked with more than 20 varieties for you to get stuck into. Familiar names such as Bulleit and Makers Mark sit next to speciality bottles like Willets Pot Sill and Old Forester, and our staff will happily help you find the one you'll want to go home with. 50ml measures start at £5.50.

All-American Memphis BBQ needs an all-American drink to wash it down with, and we’ve got just the bar to sort that out. Our beer list includes four draught options, often including the Fordham Copperhead Amber Ale and Old Dominium’s Oak Barrel Stout. Sierra Nevada, Goose Island, Anchor Steam and Flying Dog are just some of the brands filling our tempting bottle fridge. Bottled beer starts at £4 and draught at £4.50 a pint.

Joy and Simon Brigg have always loved America. After years of road trips and excellent food, they decided to bring a taste of what they’d tried on their travels – in diners, drive-ins and dives – to Camden. The US has enabled plenty of dreadful things in its time (Sunny D, anyone?), but they’re damn good at the barbecue. It’s all over the US, but Memphis does it best, and Porky’s will stay true to the rich flavours of Memphis BBQ so that London gets a little of the great drink, great food and great company that’s so plentiful across the Atlantic.

We’ll be dishing up meaty ribs and rib tips, homemade BBQ sauce, juicy burgers, whole smoked chickens, and pulled pork that’s been cooked low and slow (for over 16 hours) in the smokers we imported from Oklahoma. There’ll be cold American (and local) craft beers on the bar, classic Tennessee tunes on the speakers and fun enough to rival Beale Street.

man vs. ribs

Having been inspired by the legendary American TV show ‘Man v. Food’, Porky’s is inviting Londoners to a meaty eating challenge: Man v. Ribs. Available every day, we’ll be serving a ‘challenge’ portion of ribs and tips plus a big pile of our seasoned fries for £18. Anybody who manages to finish the whole lot (on their own!) wins a Porky’s t-shirt - all the better to do a victory lap in. The champion who manages it most quickly each month will win a voucher for a meal for two. At which they are not obliged to eat ribs. We’re not evil.

We’ll be keeping track of the leaderboard on our Twitter account and Facebook page, so those who pig out the fastest can also be lauded online. How quickly can you pig out? Come and get involved to find out!

Beer pong

What better way to work up an appetite than by pelting balls at strangers’ drinks in a traditional and lively game of beer pong? The frat house classic seemed the perfect contest to go with our BBQ fare – greasy fingers and darts don’t mix – and we look forward to welcoming ballers of all abilities to our tables every day at Bankside and Fridays at Boxpark. A game costs £10 per team of two, including beer and balls. Will you be our pong champions?

Loyalty cards

We love to see new faces at Porky’s, but we really love it when the new faces turn into familiar faces.

We’re now offering loyalty cards as a way of saying thank you for visiting us. You can collect one stamp per visit as long as you spend £6 (or more than £6 is fine, too). Once you’ve collected three stamps we’ll treat you to a free side dish. Six stamps gets you a free dessert, and when you’ve earned nine stamps you can have a whole main course on the house.
